Change of guard

Salam and good day;

Not sure if anyone realised that as of 16th March, a new security company has been mobilised - Delta Force. They did a wonderful job in Ara Damansara. However, this may be due to the owner also lives there. We are willing to give it a try as the previous guards perfomance had started to deteriorate.

The whole replacement process was handled by a handful of residents, comprising only residents of Jalan U8/75 South - Farid (Secretary), Jo (Treasurer), Hisham (Line Leader) and Fahmi (Security).

Some of us had initially decided not to engage any more guards as we do not see any interest from the rest except from us at U8/75 South. However, since we do have friends in other lanes, the hardcores had mellowed down and decided to pursue with employing new guards. Hope to see more to participate as security is everybody's responsibility. We need to throw away the 'tidak apa' attitude. These handful of clowns also have family and career like all of you.

Fee collection remains an obstacle. I do not understand why anyone cannot part with RM50 per month but can afford to buy a house and a car.

I also observe that we have started to spend less time mingling with each other. I myself have stopped attending the weekly futsal and badminton events to concentrate on my cycling. The newbies tend to stay inside their houses and never foray outside. It is a sad trend. That's why 1 Malaysia will not succeed. Mark my word.

I also think that the committee members need to see each other asap. Looking at the trend, I do not think the neighborhood's unity will last long. The handful of concerned residents are also getting tired as they had been running around managing the neighborhood since day one. Please do not repeat the same mistake where we were all united and concerned only after incidents happen.

Bear in mind the guards are only deterrents. The neighbours are the first to provide aid.

Thumbs down Cry
