i tried out the food at the new eatery at d'pangkin - "ulam desa".

ulam desa took over from the spice garden and brings a much needed masak kampung flavour to the area.

i had ikan (siakap) bakar & nasi lemak one night. the ikan bakar was nice. a bit pricey though ~ RM21. i understand that the place has lauk asam pedas during lunch time, but have not tasted it.

last night we had dinner at the newest makan place in Bukit Jelutong. Located at D'Pangkin and above the Spice Gardens, Anjung Bambu is an indonesian food restaurant.

My first impression was that the place was not very obvious as the signage was merely a banner and the entrance to the restaurant is through a small side door off Spice Gardens. Inside, the restaurant was nothing special except for the nice balcony area. Naturally we chose the balcony area for our dinner, and enjoyed the cool night breeze.
