i tried out the food at the new eatery at d'pangkin - "ulam desa".

ulam desa took over from the spice garden and brings a much needed masak kampung flavour to the area.

i had ikan (siakap) bakar & nasi lemak one night. the ikan bakar was nice. a bit pricey though ~ RM21. i understand that the place has lauk asam pedas during lunch time, but have not tasted it.

do share your experiences here.

very pricey

i had nasi lemak with sotong (took very small portion only since it's breakfast) + teh ais and I was charged a whooping RM8.

Been there twice for dinner

Been there twice for dinner already. I am pretty happy with the taste. However, i do feel that the service can be improved. Although there weren't many people there, we had to wait quite a while before we were served. I also feel that the dinner menu lacked variety. Will try their breakfast some other day.

long waiting time

agree - i found the waiting time a little too long. perhaps this will improve once they get more experience.
